FMP-BE milling cutters are designed for high speed machining of light metals on small machining centres with precision spindles. Thanks to the innovative bi-metal aluminium/steel body design, the requirements for low weight, low inertia and precise balancing allow high spindle acceleration. High strength and wear resistance are also achieved. Cutters from 80 to 160 mm diameter can be mounted on the same adaptor, while the weight of a 160 mm diameter cutter with BT30 adaptor, for example, does not exceed 3 kg.
All FMP-BE cutters have a standard insert pocket which allows the use of various combinations of BEHW1204PCD and PCBN tipped inserts, adjustable or non-adjustable, for a wide range of roughing and applications including hatch milling.
